You wrote that in 2025 a dramatic increase in aircraft production will begin due to the commissioning of a second assembly line, but here -- in late April 2024 only -- they announced that a design organization has won a tender to develop a construction project recently. Can they build it so quickly?
existing assembly line of C919 has the capacity of 50 units per year ..
this second phase project begun in 2022. way before than this official announcement. earlier it was only major assembly line and few hangers of aircraft now this tender shows, this will be a much bigger facility include other halls like components testing , warehouses , hangers as well.. so definitely it will take little more time.. but current assembly line is enough for sustain the minimum production of C919..
this second phase has capacity of 10 aircrafts in one month and 120 units per year..
so after 2027, COMAC can hit their annual target of 150 aircrafts..
