Duet Night Abyss announces no gacha system, to compete directly against Warframe:

Mihoyo's new game, Honkai Nexus Anima, is an auto-chess game (like TFT):

Looks like Chinese gacha game companies, having more or less conquered the gacha space originally owned by Japan, are now starting to redirect their focus to other genres, targeting the market share of Western developers. This is great news as the Western developers are, in my opinion, ripe for disruption and combined with the rising Chinese AAA industry, this should be fun to watch.

Nexus Anima being an autochess is a good move by Mihoyo. They have already saturated the PvE story-driven Gacha with 3 games and the PvP autochess market is massive in China - the revenue of Golden Spatula/TFT easily ranks in the top 10. This directly challenges Tencent in their home turf.

This also shows Mihoyo is aware of their genre saturation problem and are now branching out. They have a UE5 project being developed and I'm going to predict it's going to be a AAA full-priced single player game.

I'm playing Snowbreak : Containment Zone. That's from Seasun.

Feels different from another gacha i played (yes NIKKE) In terms of Player character (commander/adjudant) With the waifus. I guess i will enjoy it way more than NIkke and Girls Frontline-2 (GFL-2). The latter tho would still be my other main gacha as it doesnt reduce player-character interaction.

There seems to be tendencies for the gacha game i see, especially Hoyo that reducing role or making main character almost non important for sake of "storyline" Which i feel not a good approach and as seen it brews toxicity when fans of these games playing another gacha and they forcing their beliefs. Not gonna delve deeper tho.

Snowbreak practically nullify those toxicity by its theme alone.

Nice, I'm playing Snowbreak too. It's the only gacha game that managed to keep me playing. There's lots of F2P content, the only thing you really need to spend money on are the "special" costumes.

The story is not bad, pretty good in some parts. There are lots of girls in a harem style setting, which can get tiresome, but some of the girls, like Lyfe, Fenny, and Yao, have strong character development. The music is also very good.

The best part about Snowbreak is its third person shooter gameplay, which is quite good for a gacha game.

In case you're not aware, there's a way to uncensor the character models.

I'm not even sure about the REAL reason why the CPC suddenly decided to enforce censorship on Snowbreak while they haven't taken any action beforehand. Plus, lewder stuffs exist in other games like GFL2: Exilium and they don't get censored as much. Maybe there's a different reason to all this predicament?

I don't think there's any reason to look much deeper, the uncensored stuff they have is pretty risque.
