If that game had a Zhu Yuan from zzz, Then that game would easily make at least 4-5 times the revenue that they have got, I mean look at that fine ass. Now this game as it is now has queers and other crazy nonsense that seriously ruined my night in more ways then one. Seriously, admit it, everyone here (who at least understands the concept of being men of culture) has lost the urge right now, I mean those characters look that bad, so bad that I am going straight back to zzz for some comfort after seeing whatever the hell concord is. Seriously who ever approved of such crappy designs is a PKHGC

Looks like Japan's Genshin killer failed. Another W for the Chinese games industry. Almost 5 years on, and no one can come up with a competitive Genshin clone.
Calling BP 'Japan's Genshin killer' is giving it far too much credit. The only thing it was trying to kill was Bandai Namco's financials.

It was a niche anime MMO with a shitty costume gacha, p2w creeping in out of what seems to be desperation from the devs, horrible progression systems and somehow worse netcode than MMOs from the 2000s.

The last point is especially notable because people have recorded up to 50% packet loss from playing in the same city as the servers, its indian dev levels of incompetence.

They did before they disowned Chinese culture.

This is already a declining IP and demonstrates the developer's stinginess. Yao Zhuangxian's design concept is quite outdated and unable to increase investment in technology, which has turned the poor optimization of "Sword and Fairy 6" into "Titanfall".
Moreover, this series has very little connection with Taiwan and can no longer be considered a representative game of Taiwan.

He said its success is due to 2 things. One is that it depicts a piece of "Chinese History". LoL No! Its Chinese mythology, not history. The Chinese do not live in their mythologies unlike you Jai Hinds. Second (and he gives bigger credit to) is the use of Unreal Engine 5 for making the game impressive. At the end, he ponders when could we would get a Ramayana game with Unreal Engine 5. LoL! My answer would be: "Its longer than you think!".

The comments are amusing:

LOL!

The problem is that they keep running their mouths and make tall claims with nothing substantial to back it up. At no point since the original trailer reveal in 2020 has Game Science allowed fame to get to their head, and they worked very hard to create as good of a product as they did and kept as low of a profile possible. That is the Chinese way. Be it semiconductor, military, infrastructure, or now, gaming.

Absolutely disgusting, like a sjw version of a purple Smurf only much more annoying and in dire need of a fist to the face

Not going to lie, I was sort of interested in it, but it turned out that mmo’s just don’t have the draw it once did and Japan in their determination to follow the western mentality have failed to remember what make a good game a good game. Japan simply with its failing economy and aging population with the American boot to the head, have been continuously living in the past and thus cannot look to the future to new inspirations and broader horizons. China doesn’t have to catch up to Japan because China has already surpassed them, simply because they refuse to let anyone keep them down, unlike the Japanese who seriously have lost their innovating edge

Watch them try to steal credit for this. Like somehow Wukong is like Hanuman despite the fact when you drill down past the money inage you realize theres not much similarities. Wukong went to hell stating there was an accounting error and demanded to see the Manager. He then said the books were wrong and crossed out his name so he gained another level of immortality. Did India think of that? And they wonder why people are more interest in Wukong.

That's the kind of thing you get when you hit the 'random' button in the character generation screen in any other game.
