And China lead west in feminism in 50's by letting female getting high education. Dont see that in west in 50's. Also led them in minority treatment. Cops dont beat minority last time I checked. Almost like communists are leftist before wokes existed.

These woke stuff are made by elites to distract the lower class to pretend they get something without actually getting something. A sign of a society on its last leg. The woke promoters are essentially modern priests. They sell empty lie, convince the poor they are getting something. The kings love them because they keep ignorant folks under check, demand less. The type of lies vary across history, from god, heaven, FREEDOM, to today: wokism.

Past few days I’ve been scrolling TikTok and it’s mainly ppl streaming Black Wukong (or maybe that’s just the algorithm catering to my viewing) but mostly it is western gamers playing it, using Chinese terms and strategising on Chinese concepts and ways. As time goes by, there will be more and more games from China and more and more western gamers getting attached to Chinese products, just as Japanese anime became mainstream in the west, so too will the western world revert to a reverence for Chinese goods and products, literature, art and games.

Black Myth Wukong isn’t just a AAA video game, it’s a gateway product for the youth of the west to become more aware of Chinese culture, traditions, stories and heroes such that they will regard China with the same awe as asians once did with America. And thats why the Anglo American media have been so reluctant to correctly report on Black myth Wukong because in their world view of zero sum relationships, a success in Chinese soft power indicates a loss and deficit in white Anglo American power. And I deliberately mentioned white because the Anglo led west views the world through an apartheid lens.

I play casual games and used to play scifi RTS like Starcraft and Sins of a Solar Empire (the sequel to which is out, finally!).

Had great hopes for Deep Dark Forest （深暗森林）but it seems to be cancelled =/

I didn't know this before but the people behind the anti-China YouTube channel China Uncensored have another channel called Games Unbeaten which is telling everyone not to buy Black Myth Wukong until after it already hit number one. See, they know where to look for angry straight white males too to spread their propaganda.

Well the lesson to learn is Chinese developers should continue making good games. A good game coming from China is all that matters. Thinking it's important using it to spread Chinese culture only feeds the anti-China haters who I mentioned before who also don't want Chinese being taught in their schools. You would think that's harmless but to them it's about getting Americans to sympathize with liking China. That's why they think learning a language is more than learning a language hence why they think it's brainwashing.

Yeah just make good games, keep any modern political message out of it. Don't focus on western political discourse, because just looking at the active number of players numbers the rest only makes for like 10~15% of the customers etc.

BM:WK is beautiful. Played for about an hour for the first time today.

Maybe it's just me unfamiliar to this genre but I had much fun looking around in game and reading up on all every monster killed. I did not feel to be in a rush to reach my goals and actually to me the fighting feels so far a more minor part of the game compared to the exploring and journey.

My advice is don't rush the game and take time to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere.
