LOL@ the part where the negotiators "risked their lives to go aboard to negotiate a deal" amid the pandemic and suffered "almost 20 PCR/antigen tests which caused multiple instances of serious nasal bleeding".
This is what's so hilarious about Chinese bagu -- they love to emphasis stuff like suffering and sacrifice and stuff like that. When AVIC recently released an article commending engineers working on the J-20S many people who read it stated out front that "this is not the type of place I'd like to work at".
this is because regular folks are not the target audience of 'bagu'... in fact, most bagu are internal publications and not intend to be released outside the company/party/orgnazation
And frankly speaking, the practical value of this bagu, beside of fulfill the kpi of the pr department, is to be used as an excuse for supervisor to veto the vacation requirements from ccp party members sometime if needed…

The problem is not what ppl think of sacrifice,I am pretty sure these negotiators are going to receive amazing salaries,but the propaganda department intended to create a grim life.

LoL, NO… this is one of the typical false perception or stereotypes of foreigners to the system I say
a, HR and PR department has irrelevant KPIs, especially in large organizations, and this applies worldwide. HR are not stupid to use something that will hurt them, because “bagu” means nothing during an arbitration beside of some form of hostile evidence.
In fact, promotion, annual review and salary negotiation in general is a blind process and sometime even purely based on number, especially in large state owned companies. Because these organizations are normally so huge that, HR department always sit so remote to most general function departments, this means they don’t know who you are, so promoting you means no difference to any other regular folks that meat the requirements, also they are not that easily influenced unless some kind of actively interference.
Also, more importantly, if your direct supervisor want to hold you pay raise or force you to quit, 99/100 they have much better excuses to use rather then stupid “bagu”
b, I’m not sure where your “going aboard means risk life, so people need to use bagu, blah blah” logic is came from, but lol, no… this is normally not the case and generally opposite to the reality.
do you know oversea dispatch normally means double or triple income to the package salary? Usually is the more danger the place (somewhere is Africa requires peace force for example vs Europe/AU/CA) higher the travel and dispatch allowance to get. So people get the chance to choose, and normally encourage to discuss with family .
Also, just to let you know, if you don’t want to go, there might be 10 more people just in the queue waiting to do this choice.
