This thing is still alive?
Huh, I thought it was a TSR-2 for the first second or so.Anyone know what this is?
Since this is from Wenchang Aerospace Sciencce Centre, it is probably the winged space plane that was said to be tested just recently. Whether it is a concept mockup or a model of the real thing, or the real thing itself, time will tell.Anyone know what this is?

There are clear images of it. Its certainly not anything resembling what we can term a mock-up, as the beefy landing gear with no way to go should confirm. Looks more like a rough inspiration based on reported concept.

If it follows the Saenger-concept, the primary stage/platform would only climb to high altitude and then release the actual space plane. That being said I dont know anything else about it and suspect given its location its not terribly close to the real thing. However there is at least one canard design I know of that is an actual space plane, which is the Skylon concept. Theoretically, given that's one more design stuck in development hell.Do we know if the CAC worked on this? If so they are literally sending delta-canards into space!
