There is some discussion on PDF as to the practicality of using UAV to drop ration to the troop Some forummer wonder whether dropping it from that height will damage the food Well CCTV just release a better video showing how it is drop. Apparently this is a test and the dropping height is not that high

Wonder if these UAVs have enough lift power to air drop ammunition to soldiers in combat?

Whilst beneficial in reducing the amount of weight soldiers need to patrol with, it does present inherent risk. Looks like a great way for their opposition to pin point PLA ground forces locations.

Care to explain why you mention this? I haven't heard anything on a TD-11 ... what is it´, why in this thread?


I think he's referring to a coaxial helicopter UAV from AVIC Beijing.

Interestingly enough, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) has a similar UAV called HK-20Z with almost identical specs. I wonder if TD-11 and HK-20Z are the same product.
