Anyone have good pics of the upgraded AS-209 (at least it looked like it) drone seen in Zuhai this year? I have managed to find only pics where it can be seen in background.

Look at that lovely stealthy(?) rear end. December is a good month for China watchers.

... looks like a remodeled "Sky Wing" (first image for comparison) similar to the Xianglong II.:p

There were posts leading up to these pictures about the Soaring Dragon taking flight. This might be the third version. Maybe box wings didn't work out.

Here's a better shot of the rear end.

I don't know if it is indeed a third version, it could also be that this one - I would like to call it "Sky Wing II" by now until we get a better name - and the "Soaring Dragon II" are different birds with different requirements. They are surely related to each other - like brothers - but not the same.

Maybe the Sky Wing II is more an attack UAV/UCAV similar to the US General Atomics Avenger ... whereas the Soaring Dragon II is more a high-altitude surveillance UAV !?

Just my two cents.

Maybe it's more for IR reduction rather than radar stealth. Btw it seems to have two nozzles, so two smaller engines instead of a single larger one?
