On Monday, June 5 at 10:35 am local time, the first supersonic FTC-2000 training aircraft, designed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer GAIC (Guizhou Aircraft Industry Corporation), rolled out at the plant near Anshun, South China.

In three-tone desert livery, it is the first of six aircraft acquired by the Sudanese air force and will take off within a few weeks. The contract, the amount of which was not disclosed, was signed on January 30, 2016 between the two sides and made Sudan the first export client of the program.

Befitting it's cheap and cheerful image, i must say it is not a grand entrance, sort of a no frills cost low ceremony

It looks like the Italians are trying to jump aboard the "light fighter" bandwagon with a new "fighter/attack" variant of the Leonardo M-346 with the M-346FA. It's pretty ironic that such a closely "related" aircraft like the M-346 is now in direct competition with its "cousin" the L-15. Of course, a key difference is that the L-15 has a supersonic variant, allowing for greater air policing and combat capabilities than the M-346 which is only subsonic and, from what we know of the L-15's PESA radar, is superior to the PD X-Band Grifo-346 radar.

The second pic is a little optimistic, don't you think?
Is that load of something that looks as medium range missiles even plausible?
