The West likes to get ahead of it so they can control the meaning. It's like the West, the greatest criminals against humanity that history will ever know anointing themselves the champions of human rights. Is it because they really care...? No, it's because they want to get ahead of everyone else and define what a victim is? And what's the result? They have made their crimes as not serious and the only ones that they declare are violating them happen to be also countries they haven't brainwashed to not see them as the criminals they are. Why did the West create the victim culture? It's because so they can determine who's a victim in the world and even more importantly who's not.

White worshipping Chinese-American NYTimes writer who made a career out of "finding" flaws in China is frustrated why Silicon Valley suddenly "admires" China. She is cautioning them of all the deep flaws China has that she painfully explained many many times but it seems all the Silicon Valley dummies are lured by all the shiny bridges and skylines.
The problem is that current Silicon Valley culture prioritizes short term profit over all term goal. It is more about capitalizing on the latest fads/trends than doing any of the less sexy work that builds solid foundation. Why would anyone deal with governmental red tape and unprofitability of energy/transportation infrastructure when investing in shitcoins and OnlyFans provide a much easier/safer return on investment?
