If you actually took the time to read the article you would see that

And you can see the outlines of the well deck door, again at the link:

Yikes! I'm guilty.. I did not read it either..

A CSOC representative at the show insisted the design was for the export market exclusively. After inquiring about the design's projection capabilities the same representative told us the LHD had 4 helicopter spots and could carry 8 more internally inside the hangar. Regarding troops accommodations, we were told the design could accommodate in excess of 700 soldiers and over 50 armored vehicles. The CSOC representative confirmed the presence of a well-deck for amphibious operations but declined to comment on it capacities or specifications.

Looking at the flight deck I see where another helo spot could be added on the starboard side aft..Or on the stern.

Compare to the old USN Iwo Jima class & Mistral..Remember modern ships give much more space for accommodating the crew and embarked marines. the troop accomdations on an Iwo Jima were horrid. I don't think the Iwo Jima's carrier any large vehicles..They were lacking a well deck..

PLAN LHD proposal;

Reported specifications (length of 198 meters, displacement of 22,000 tons, breadth of 21.80 meters, and maximum speed of 22 Knots) appear to be close to those of a Mistral class LHD for example.

I saw an article on this in Kanwa. It looks like the domestic design is supposed to be a lot larger. Even Type 071 can handle 4 helicopters in the hangar and could land 2 Z-8s (and possibly another Z-9) at the same time. If this get exported, maybe they can export the Type 726 also.

For the LPD (they said) that's more a baby LHD...that's a strange niche because most countries that has the need for such vessels would either have their own shipbuilding capabilities to build one themselves, or rich enough to buy from Western countries' shipbuilder with experience to build ships such as those. CSOC might have a hard time to win against the competition here.
It all comes down to price... To me, if the price is right, this design could be competing against something like the Makassar class sold by DSME to countries like Indonesia, Philippines and Peru...

Egypt is also Looking into expanding its amphibious capabilitys but the political situation is not allowing follow through, buying Chinese ships would be a obvious choice for Egypt especially a LHD

Turkey can and is building its own LHD, but Egypt does not posses that kind of resources and experience so buying off the shelve LHD would be the best choice, throw in a few LSTs and you have a very good landing party and the hovercrafts would be the iceing on the cake

Malaysia is also looking into LHD
