开发出了超低膨胀系数石英玻璃,并实现了零膨点温度区域可控,为空间探测、极紫外光刻光学系统提供了材料支撑。
Supplier of low expansion synthetic quartz glass for mask blank and euv mirror substrate material.
Synthetic quartz doesn’t rely on high grade quartz mines

I think it would be good to see how much of the Chinese production can capture in the future if they can get the cost down.

so looks like it has resumed operation but it might have some issues with transportation based on what I hear.

Optics components and structural components have different requirements for high purity quartz glass. Masks and EUV mirror substrates require extreme purity and low thermal expansion, so synthetic quartz is a good choice. Crucibles require high heat resistance and affordable price, which currently advantage natural quartz

I know nothing about the geology of quartz mines, but it looks like they are actively looking for potential UHP quartz mines in China, with some highly promising sites

China is probably sitting on a lot of valuable mineral resources from the Himalayan uplift zones. It’s just that those regions are hard to survey and what can be found is probably hard to access and extract.

I'm sure we just haven't seen more UHP quartz mine because business case for looking one hasn't existed until now.

Sure, that I do get. It seems like they are already able to mass produce the lower purity quartz for optics. It probably requires higher cost to produce the extreme purity synthetic quartz. Let's see if they can ramp up production.

The new Kirin-9100 is expected to again be 1 extra large, 3 large, 4 small core. Using 8-wide, 6-wide and 4-wide decoder.
He calls is N7PP here, but this is basically just improved over N+2.
I'm expecting some serious improvement in the 3 large cores this time. At least that's the impression I got.

Apparently, they had 6 million produced at end of August, so there is plenty of chips for Mate 70 and Mate X6
