@WTAN Sir! the Taiwanese aren't stupid, they may go with the US regarding the Arizona FABS knowing their 3nm is close to mass production and they may play both side, like I said Sir if SMEE 28NM perform as advertise, the TSMC will purchased and used it without the objection from the Chinese gov't, in fact they may encourage it scoring a propaganda victory and may help advance its tech based. The Chinese are using a 2 prong approach for local production of chips, a domestic and a foreign one and in my mind the CCP knows it can't have an entire domestic solution dominating (for the short term until 2025) across the board (its to expensive) and having these foreigner operating in China is a good synergy tech wise. All China wanted is a domestic guarantee not to be blackmail, that thinking is the same with the US and this decoupling is all about security.TSMC's Uncle Chang smells something fishy and now doesn't want to give the Crown Jewels away.
@hashtagpls Bro what I think, it will lead to unification, hear me out bro, if the Chinese gov't allow TSMC to operate and be part of the supply chain regarding SMEE/CETC DUVL & EUVL, they will set a common standard , A Chinese Standard. Mr Morris Chang even if a Western educated and leaning is still a Chinese, We as I said may have our disagreement but deep inside we loved our motherland, its ingrained to us, when our ancestor migrated overseas it was taught and handed to us from one generation to the next. And for me that is the reason for the American insistence of TSMC building a FAB in Arizona they don't trust them either....LOLHow about this: once TSMC builds those factories in China, and once SMIC has mastered 3nm and DUV on commercial capacity, just sanction TSMC and take all those factories in China and give them all to Huawei and SMIC.
Let us hope that TSMC places a poison pill inside the fabs in Arizona, it would be inappropriate for the white anglo to profit from Chinese labour as they did prior to the China Exclusion Act.@hashtagpls Bro what I think, it will lead to unification, hear me out bro, if the Chinese gov't allow TSMC to operate and be part of the supply chain regarding SMEE/CETC DUVL & EUVL, they will set a common standard , A Chinese Standard. @hashtagpls bro you can't blame them, the US holds all the cards, the way they arm twist TSMC they know they're running against time. China is on a brisk of a major technical breakthrough , they need to have the tech now!!!. If China had a successful EUVL or DUVL product on the market, you bet the Taiwanese and the SK will buy one and leveraged that with ASML, right now the market is monopolized by one player and they decide the winner.Let us hope that TSMC places a poison pill inside the fabs in Arizona, it would be inappropriate for the white anglo to profit from Chinese labour as they did prior to the China Exclusion Act.
Disagree with your conclusion that EU will not go along.Looks like the Europeans will not go along with US Tech Restrictions on China.
ASML Chief speaks about an independant EU Tech Policy on China.
@voyager1 bro and lost the Chinese market forever and maybe you're right cause that opportunity will be closed within 2 years when the SMEE 28NM matured and also the eventual introduction of a Chinese EUVL (either SMEE or CETC).Disagree with your conclusion that EU will not go along.
ASML is just a company. History has shown that Gov can do whatever they want regardless to the wishes of the companies
Basically, the ASML is not representing the EU stance
Yep. The EU might decide to restrict IC tech so that they can get free money forever.@voyager1 bro and lost the Chinese market forever and maybe you're right cause that opportunity will be closed within 2 years when the SMEE 28NM matured and also the eventual introduction of a Chinese EUVL (either SMEE or CETC).
@voyager1 bro its laughable they want to constrict China but they are their main market, so its okay to hinder their develop and expect no backlash? such logic is the reason the EU is slipping. Their Neo liberal ideas is outdated.Yep. The EU might decide to restrict IC tech so that they can get free money forever.
I mean, read their think-tanks analysis that China is 10-20 years behind and will.never catch up. Authoritarian System does bot makei innovation
And their favourite phrase is "Chinese only copy and steal, they cant make their own" lol
They might drink their own kool-aid and decide to sanction China believeving that China will never catch up...
