It it comparable to the ASML 1980Di or 2000i ?

Smee SSA800 capable of 7nm with multiple exposure is comparable to asml 2000i which still cost $90mil. With major components like laser, projection lens, and precision stage sourced from domestic players.
If they got this down, self sufficiency can be proclaimed provided that domestic players designed and manufactured mixed signals chips for cars and industrial control. Not just easier to designed digital CPUs like they overly focused like before

If they got this down then it's not just self sufficiency for semiconductors, it's self sufficiency for thousands of other types of state of the art systems which rely on overlapping technologies.

Will help add another few $trillion to GDP probably if true.

I have respect for analog and mixed signals chip even simple chip like charger chip such as byd charger chip.
Not so much for digital chip especially that doesn't involved manufacturing. Even Alibaba have their high end cpu chip. Good grief! Barrier to entry is very low.

Yes, they complement each other products.
Byd power chips used in Huawei system and Huawei Kirin CPU , 5G frontend RF module, harmony OS powering Byd latest Han EV digital cockpit.

The US caused the shortage when they blacklisted SMIC. A lot of auto manufacturers had moved production of automotive chips there.
Now they try to benefit from their incompetence by blaming TSMC for the shortages. Pathetic.

I think SMIC will be able to ignore sanctions in a couple of years once they have modern production lines with Chinese equipment and consumables.

This Machine as far as i know is fully Chinese made.
All the main components of the machine are made by local companies.

Optics - Guowang Optics
Immersion System - Qier
Dual Stage Workbench - Huazhou
Light Source - Keyi Hongyuan

ASML is still not allowed to sell its latest DUVL NXT2000i to China so its unlikely any foreign company will be allowed to sell any parts for a Chinese made Lithograph.
