Yes but even then foreign companies dominate production even in China . In high end machines the localisation rate is only 6%. The link that you sent me says that. Competing with the Japanese is not as easy as competing with others, unless they make a horrible error and don't foresee the future.

You are right that Japanese and German still leading in the most advanced CNC machine, but China is the country that have biggest market share, 29% while Japan and Germany is about 15%. But China also import the majority of Germany and Japan most advanced CNC machine
Yes that report seems to be right. But it is about machine tool production and I am taking about cnc which is a subset. For example die cast is a machine tool where irda group is the leader but it is not a cnc machine . I am talking about the general grinding, milling, drilling , laser cutter machines.

I’ve been looking at the Mate View for a while now, it looks really good. I have the huawei laptop, so you would be able to connect it wirelessly if I’d want. And I’ve been wanting a second monitor to help with uni work. Might wait to see what deals and bonuses end up coming with it.
I'd love either of these above the XDR display. They look incredible. I wonder what 2 of those GT screens would look like side-by-side
So personally, I'd Pick the w(q)hd one 10/10 Times just cause it got more than 60hz, everything 60 is just very unconvenient to work with.
After waiting for years, it's finally going into the right direction with the displays. But I'm working on a 5k iMac and can't go back to 4k. I just need a display like the mateview but in 5k and in 16x9 ratio.
The mateview, I was sold just by the touchbar on it. It makes it easier to change settings and it is really cool. The aspect ratio is also good because I am mainly on the productive side and not gaming

Yeah, brother. This US government and Huawei 5G war has gone sideways.
The US government manage to decrease Huawei cell phone sales.
At the same time, Apple iPhone and Samsung remain in the same spot. Which means Huawei cell phones not sold, were sold by other Chinese companies.
What is the point of that?
It is kind of like they ran out of ammo and are still pretending the war is still ongoing.
