Yeah that’s what I figured too.I think the performance improvement they're referring to is the switching time i.e. how fast the circuits, and therefore the overall chip, would work (and reliably at that) compared to that using the earlier process.
I argued with a few of those types on quora. Their logic is importing equal to dependence. It appears mutually beneficial trade is a hard concept for a lot of people to understand. Here's the hilariously stupid part. By the logic of high net imports and high share of foreign products = backwards and primitive, any country can apparently easily increase its technological position: simply have a failing electronics industry.
then USD would suddenly command a 40% market share. By the logic of low net imports = good, doesn't this mean there was a vast improvement?

Yeah, on second thought, I believe that Huawei wouldn't have a case due to the Great Firewall. Huawei would have a hard time to explain how Bloomberg could have caused it damage in China when most Chinese cannot even access Bloomberg's reports. If you think they can win then I have a bridge to sell to you.
Bloomberg actualy has physical presence in ChinaIf you think they can win then I have a bridge to sell to you.
