Anything GaN is still rare outside China. China has GaN-on-SiC on fighter jets, which tells me naval procurement should at least be that going by the usual diffusion path of tech in militaries. If GaN-on-Dia is in service or testing, I think it would be the new 055 batch or the KJ-3000. Only those would have the cooling headroom to fully exploit it.Looking back at this, aren't these just test articles of GaN-on-Diamond technology being implemented onto various "test" radar systems by HIT? From what I know, isn't the consensus that GaN-on-Diamond and Ga2O3 applications are still immature and not there just yet for such operational implementations to military radar platforms?
