The brick-type phased array antenna has its components placed perpendicular to the aperture of the phased array antenna, and the T/R component circuits are assembled vertically and horizontally (LITA). The brick structure is large in size and is packaged in a metal box. It is usually mounted on the back of a heat sink to facilitate good heat dissipation and is mostly used in high-power output scenarios. The tile-type phased array antenna places its components parallel to the aperture of the phased array antenna, and the face array circuits are assembled horizontally and vertically (TILA). The tile-type phased array uses a layered structure, integrating chips or circuits on several parallel tiles. The radiating array elements use microstrip patch antennas that are easy to conform to, which can achieve linear or circular polarization. It has a higher degree of integration than the brick structure, is smaller in size, and has a lower cost. It is mostly used in ultra-small and conformal radars
