It's not new; its designation is SR5, it first appeared in 2013, and has also been exported to Venezuela.

You are welcome. I guess that the drawbacks of the M56, especially its short range, are not as significant considering the possible intended uses for the vehicle.
Forgot to mention that the base vehicle is reminiscent of not only the Jackal, but also of the South African OTT Hunter LSV.

It appears to be modular, and the loadout on the display vehicle is indicative of the possibilities. In actual operations, both launcher bays would be loaded with identical pods, in all likelihood. My guess is that the large tubes are around 300mm (give or take) caliber, while the small ones are 122mm.

Yup, very lightweight platform on a wheeled vehicle optimized for sling or Para drop to support Airborne/light infantry units. A small howitzer or a mortar would do nicely.

That means it was design and built to fit inside the Y-20 for airborne drop as you mentioned before.

Y20 is easy since its now the PLA Globemaster, no since I was commenting on the Vehicle that reminds me of the Jackal it could probably fit slung under a Z20 or Z8 as well as inside a Y8 for tactical drop. The designers probably worked it up to fit 3 in a Y20.
