They used it more heavily than any other tank in the cavalry battalion not the M48, not the M60, not the T-84. It did everything. operated on the front line, seized ground, went where the M113 and Type 85 couldn’t reach. Rugged and resilient. It took hits from mortar fire (one round hit the gun barrel directly), hit by IEDs, ERA actually worked as intended. It took damage, was pulled off the frontline temporarily for repairs, then went right back in. Most accurate gun. AC blows cold. Drinks fuel like a bastard, sure but that’s the price.

This tank has been resented and subjected to constant nitpicking for years.

This one was hit by a 120 mm mortar round.

I mentioned previously that the coverage of the damaged tanks seem to be overblown from sources from a certain South Asian country.

Despite the damages, we see this continued posting of tanks in action, and other posts defending the performance. I think it is safe to say this was rupees at work. Makes sense if you consider Pakistan is also a user of VT-4.

Despite the cucks’ best efforts at denigrating the tank Thai crew still love it and rely on the VT-4 as a spear head for assault against entrenched positions.
classic example of unique capabilities beat draw backs in application, it just like how the first batch of Panther tank would catch fire quite often when moving around and the Germans still used it as much as they could.
cause a broken part can be switched , but not being able to reach the fight and kill the enemy is pointless.
And now PLA has the dataset to improve the reliability.

One VT4's VT/E1 engine seems to have broken down.

One must ask himself why footage like this is even getting popular.

First, who even gives a damn when tanks get broken down in a war in South East Asia?

And why does every mainstream OSINT account/channel post it as relevant and interesting information?

The answer is pretty simple:
China critiscm/hate is a market, and it has proven to be in huge demand. Don't believe me? just take a look at this

Same goes for that recent bridge incident

I think people should care when VT-4 actually faces confirmed problems, so that the manufacturer is aware of it and hopefully makes improvements which would help export it more. For example, ZPT-98's barrel life, it's a bit of a shame that it hasn't gotten any upgrades like Russian 2A46 derivatives (namely M-5) that allow longer lifespans thanks to their chrome-lined bores.

In fact, we have yet to see an official VT-4 tank failure report. It is impossible to determine whether the issue stems from operator error, tank quality problems, or extreme operating conditions. Furthermore, should subsequent evidence confirm quality issues with the VT-4, NORINCO will work to optimize the product and resolve the problems. We would gladly accept such an outcome.

The official Thai report is critical to dispell or confirm problems.
The first combat use of a capability is going to reveal problems unforseen in peacetime or in testing. The enemy always has a vote.
The 200 round barrel life and official combat reports (After Action Reviews) will be interesting. If the VT4 barrel life is 200 rounds I suspect that the Royal Thai Army purchased a few replacements. The RTA Ar.or Corps understands barrel life and maintenance and things like effect firing charge (EFC) on barrel life. All this to say we need to say there are 'observations' of problems and sheek the official records of the Post conflict AAR before passing judgements. Any good intelligence Analyst knows this.
However if you are a gamer, well

Where did you get 200 from?

A poor product review here. Only 2-3 stars on Amazon for VT-4:
