It was shown at the last Zhuhai show. It's presumably available for export. No idea if the Chinese military is interested.
You are right, I misspoke. Energy density is the metric I intended on saying.
Is it possible that introducing a new caliber raises some difficulties? e.g. the American striker ifv’s were upgunned to 30 mm only recently although they had that caliber for years. So what I want to say is that it is hard to say whether or not the PLA will use the 40 mm cta gun in near future.

Mengshi with a 30mm? cannon. This was taken at Zhuhai. Judging by large box on the right side of the cannon, it might house the optics, maybe with thermals? Could have a stabiliser too. You can also see the new AA platform on the right.
