YJ-17 and DF-17 are in entirely different size classes, and are entirely different missiles therefore Their only similarity would be that they're both hypersonic glide vehicles.

YJ-15 doesn't seem to have a booster stage, so whether it's for VLS launch or not could be up for debate (though if it's slant launched if will also still need a booster stage, so we can't definitely say how it is meant to be used).

In terms of "newness," I would say all four are new in the sense that we have not clearly seen their specific designs before.
We have had a brief glimpse of YJ-20 some years ago but that did not tell us much of its design details and a lot was left for us to deduce.

Yeah, scramjet is a huge deal. I'm still not sure if zirkon is actually scramjet

I guess I'm just generally skeptical of Russian claimed figures including the claim of M9..... just can't say for sure one way or another

Why should you be? The Russians started working on ramjets back in WW2. They never stopped development of such missiles and unlike the US they had the Mach 20 wind tunnel test facilities.

It is the US that in the 1970s dropped funding of ramjets and chose to use computer simulation instead of wind tunnels to save money.

The Russians were the first to have an operational scramjet.

For HCM these are the dimensions. Could it fit in the VLS on type 054A? I don't know the dimensions of the VLS.

Obviously "eyeing it," but the YJ-19 looks to be noticeably thinner than her hypersonic sisters.

This could imply potential compatibility with conventional attack submarines (i.e.: launchable from torpedo tubes; yes I know 0.56m>533mm, hence "eyeing it").

YJ-17 appears in one of my messages deleted at the whim of the administrators.

If there is a large version of the DF-21, the DF-26, and a small version, the one we used to call the YJ-21

Then, there will be a large version of the DF-17, the DF-27, and a small version, the YJ-17

It was logical.

Now we know that the YJ-21 is called the YJ-20

And what's striking is that a new missile has appeared

Where i say "scramjet 30 km" high it could obviously be 35-40 km, i don't know; but the idea is clear: a fairly low Qian Xuesen trajectory in the approach phase to the target.

They're all new, given that all of these have never been seen before, bar the YJ-20 (which was formerly called YJ-21 for the last few years). The YJ-15 is new, the YJ-17 is new (and while it does have the "17" designation, its HGV looks different and a little flatter than the DF-17 and is, of course, a ship-launched HGV that did not exist before), the YJ-19 is new, and the YJ-20 has been in service, just known as the YJ-21. So 3/4.
