Yeah, that's a well know trick, of course. But that is obviously not a standard use.

Not so different from the US's M6 grenade...at least in the looking.

the M6 was a Riot control grenade filled with CN. IT was Farly ( More beer can than soup can.) tall with a standard style fuse pin spoon Assembly none of the grenades pictured resemble it.
Sorry, I confuse the M6 with the Mk2.

A vague resemblance too the pineapple too be sure. Of the Grenades I know the closest I know of in appearance too any given here is the V40 and the top grenade seen in the second image.
That's right.The picks must be more closer for a proper look and more info.

I remember that our training sergeant recommended lobbing the grenade, instead of throwing over the head. During live-fire bunker assault training, the nco or any unlucky chosen one has to crawl all the way to side of the enemy bunker and drop the training grenade (thunder flash) inside the machine gun slit while support fires are laying down live rounds only a few meters aways.
