That is a first time for me to know as pharmacy products are reported as a strong India export.
Lol, I was searching high low the part of the news report saying just that but to no avail. I saw only "import of bulk drugs".

You misunderstood me. I did not mean that news piece saying "India's strong pharmacy export". I have heard it from many other places.Lol, I was searching high low the part of the news report saying just that but to no avail. I saw only "import of bulk drugs".
According to Gordon, China is going to collapse anytime now, so why bother with a trade war? LOL
U.S. President Barack Obama blocked China's Fujian Grand Chip Investment Fund (FGC) from acquiring Aixtron's U.S. business, the Treasury Department said on Friday.
About the Aixtron deal a month ago, here is the latest development.
Now the gloves are off. Obama comes to the front stage.
Note, this blockage applies only to the Aixtron's U.S. subsidiary. The Aixtron ownership is blocked by Merkel a month ago.
Now it would be interesting to see what is left for the deal to be salvaged as the article said. The future for the deal is very bleak. Maybe FGC will simply hire some valuable employees of Aixtron Germany to restart their work in China?
The Aixtron deal block isn't retaliation for no red carpet treatment, it's another development in US efforts to contain China. Problem is piecemeal moves like that wouldn't do the job, but the actions that would do it will also harm America and the rest of the world. It could be Obama's retaliation for getting snubbed during the G20 summit in China when he was allegedly not given a red carpet reception.
I don't think so. The Philip LED lamp deal was blocked by Obama long time ago, the Aixtron deal is only another repeating case.It could be Obama's retaliation for getting snubbed during the G20 summit in China when he was allegedly not given a red carpet reception.
Must say that you have an excellent insight. The Aixtron deal block isn't retaliation for no red carpet treatment, it's another development in US efforts to contain China. If there are retaliations, they have happened by many rounds by both sides for years, that makes the Aixtron case not really a retaliation aiming at G20 this September, but just another shot in a war.
