China (and India to a lesser extent) is building metros like crazy. It’s much needed giving the country’s large population and rapidly increasing urban population with rapid development.

India is nowhere near China in metro building. They may be doing some limited metro importing with foreign IP, project management and planning though.

From what i red, they build most of their metros at home, of course Western and jalanese companies are involved with their subsidiaries in India dling much of the projects. However they are mkstly made in India, not imported wholesale.

Wait they want CN to export faster, but they tighten control on Imports from CN?

Also wouldnt CN staff be needed to assemble those TBMs in lndia?

Yeah, thats stupid to put restrictions on chinese origin products. They should have made distictions at least and made exceptions for Western companies making their goods in China. Just like this German TBMs made in China. If it was a Chinese company making them then one could have at least understood their policy of restrictimg these companies. However a blanket restriction without looking at the origin country of the companys products is silly.
