In China, politico-economic processes take place that are foreign (or rather, denied) to the Western way of thinking. Politics goes hand in hand with the economy. For example, in the U.S., neoliberalism—or even fascism, if you will—is the political expression of economic relations in society. It is unfair to accuse China one-sidedly of politicizing the economy. While searching online some time ago, I found papers on topics such as medicine, agricultural production, and pedagogy, examined from a materialist dialectical perspective.
They follow their own unique path, and I think this is distinct.
