From what I heard a couple months back the Arctic-LNG 2 Train 1 should be delayed one year. It was supposed to enter service this year but will only do this in 2023. All the modules are in Russia and it is a question of installing them. Without the support of the Western designers of the equipment it will take longer but it will be done. As for Train 2, from what I understand, Novatek contracted Western design companies and these ordered the modules to be made in China. With the sanctions these companies cannot do business with Russia anymore. So the modules for Train 2 might get stuck in the Chinese shipyards until someone untangles this mess. Then there is the matter that some of the equipment, like gas turbines to power the liquefaction units, was imported from the West. These might need to be redesigned and swapped out with Russian ones. This will make the whole unit less efficient and will substantially delay the project.

But the thing is, Russia did put its first Russian built gas liquefaction facilities into service this year near St. Petersburg. So they have have the basic technology.
I think arctic 2 uses APCI's tech, so the whole plant is built around that, I doubt they can commission it with out Technip and air product there to support it. The power plant to run it should be the least of its concerns, even the turbine compressors can be replaced with enough $$$, just the core liquefaction, without the OEMs they are screwed and will need to basically rebuild.
Some of the yards that the modules are built at in China is also semi US owned, like McDermott's yard in Qingdao, so its alot more complicated than that lol.

The West decoupling from China is a wet dream. China exists and therefore the West must take control of China. It's in their DNA because they have to be in control of everything or they don't have control at all. Think of it this way. North Korea the West teased was the most backward isolated country in the entire world. North Korea has nothing of value it can give the West yet it's the itch they can't scratch. That's because it's something they don't control and it bugs them so. Now you think they can ignore China like it doesn't exist...? The West acts like they're stronger than ever. No, they're weaker than ever. The only way the West can get back to the glory days is to be that human rights violating monster that they know and everyone knows that got them to where they're at today but then the other side has nukes now so basically it's over for them.

Biden knew he wasn't going have the spotlight on him at the G20 in Indonesia. That's why he didn't participate in extracurricular activities. If the West was looking to decouple from China, why did they bother wanting to have a meeting with Xi? Everyone knows the US made the world worse even for its own allies with its foreign policy.

It's just process technology, if you have good process engineers, you can commission it. The problem is royalty payment, which i doubt Russia will care. But it will take time to replace the membranes, etc, i believe alot of components are Chinese made.

My colleague just came from Novatek and he says Russia is proceeding with the project even without Technip, Technip is essentially just a EPC contractor, no technology whatsoever except subsea but they spun it off recently. I was from Technip previously.

Record 11.6 Million Chinese to Graduate From College Next Year

China will have nearly 11.6 million fresh college graduates next year, a new record high.

Students finishing higher education will increase by 820,000 in 2023 from this year, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security said on Nov. 15. The number of new graduates in the country has risen 66 percent, or 4.6 million, over the past decade, they noted.

The education ministry said in a document on college graduate employment and entrepreneurship that it is important to open up new market- and society-oriented jobs, give full play to policies for hiring graduates, and build a high-quality work guidance service. An on-campus recruitment plan including over 10,000 companies will also be launched.

China’s colleges and universities have been admitting more students, leading to an increase in graduate numbers, fiercer job hunting, and an increase in applications for master’s degree courses, said Hu Gang, head of the South China Society for Urban Studies.

Master’s graduates have an advantage over those with first degrees when applying for jobs, added Hu, who is also a professor at Jinan University.

Colleges and universities have reported a surge in the number of applicants for master’s degrees. Students who selected Chongqing University of Technology as their top choice for next year’s entrance examination were up 32 percent from this year, with exams held in more than 500 cities across China.

More and more young people choose to work in government agencies, public institutions, or state-owned enterprises, as these offer stable positions with high pay and social status.

The number of people applying for the national teacher accreditation test jumped 66 times to 11.4 million this year from 172,000 in 2012. Even graduates from top-flight schools Tsinghua University and Peking University have turned to teaching at primary and middle schools.

wowww, online retail is huge in China ... perhaps the biggest in the world. Wondering whether food delivery industry is included, which is also very big in China
Retail sales and personal services (such as legal services) are included in every country's national accounting/GDP measures.

"The total retail sales of consumer goods include the online retail sales of physical goods, but not the non-physical goods."
