Chinese Economics Thread

I was just watching CNN talking about the EU-China virtual summit coming in a few hours. They were talking about how the EU is going to use this event to scold China over Ukraine. No, that's the EU giving a show of authority to its own citizens before they do the opposite begging for money from China. CNN said China was more dependent on the US and the EU so they're in the stronger position. Then why don't they end any economic relations with China to show who's boss?

Because they always want to have the cake and eat it too.

Three year ago, in the thick of Trump's trade war against China, an IT manager of my client and his Indian consulting manager and I were talking over a $70/head Brazilian grill and Cabernet. They were ranting and venting in ways of "China bad and China owes" similar to the talking scenario you described. Since I was paying the whole meal, I got fed up and said "What I want is a fair solution to all sides: stop and reset all trades between US and China". The table went to a deafening silence.
