A lot of those Western funded "projects" are sure to be used to stall the development of those countries. They will be used to pad the pockets of politicians with projects which will never pass the paper phase.
The only way they can truly "stall" development in those countries is to stay the hell away from them. That means putting all money and investment in developed nation ONLY. This seems to be what Biden would LOVE to have happened to the European, Asian and OPEC country's moneys.

Starbucks is pretty expensive in China as well, If I recall correctly, the cheapest coffee I saw cost around 20 RMB, that's enough for me to buy a full meal.

Which city? Because in major cities Shanghai and Shenzhen, it's more like 35-40 RMB, likewise for milk/bubble tea. Which makes them more expensive than Hong Kong where they're 30-40 HKD (32 RMB)

In Xiamen, but I've never entered the store, and only saw the menu outside of the window while I was on my way back to my dorm, so there could be a possibility I have misread the price.

They paid a fine and moved on. Their coffee is pretty good, better than Starbucks, but then a lot of coffee is better than crappy Starbucks.
@Strangelove UCC is way way better and I don't understand women why they love Starbucks mugs so much, my collection of Gundam models and very rare Voltes Five had been put to storage replace by my wife mugs collection. :(
