None of these India superpower projections ever explain as to what exactly will drive India to such growth. India is currently in its demographic dividend period and yet its last Pre Covid growth rate was 4%.

Demographic deviden if not well managed will become demographic liability ( or even demographic catastrophe )

I like CCP and how it is proactive but as someone who lives in a country where we have free flow of information, the opaque nature of how it operates doesn't do it any favors in the international scene. It gives the anti China voices ammunition and China loses control of the narrative.

It doesn't give a sh..t about your opinion or mine since what the Chinese government craves and place the utmost importance is the opinion and trust of it's CITIZENS in the country. I say f..ng Amen to that, whereas most people in the west loves to opine and critique other countries businesses just to feel better than themselves or point out that problems in other countries and governments are shittier than in their respective western countries. Just read and watch these "western human rights loving charlatans" on most social media sites like youtube about Africa, India, and other poorer, ill governed countries around the world. The cesspool of racism and abhorrent comments would give any decent folks aneurysm from reading such filth.

And when the same insecure twa..s see the level of unprecedented socio-economic progress in godless, commie, red-China the self-confidence is replaced by mounting insecurity and that insecurity turns into incredulity, then it turns into denial, then their brains would look at great length to deny what their seeing in front of their very own eyes as lies concocted by the evil Chinese. Because there's no f..ng way that a godless and Communist country could possibly achieve this level of progress and unprecedented success without some kind of "CHEATING" afterll all, these people have been brainwashed and inundated with falsehoods, half-truths all their lives that China is shitty poor and dirty as a rag; nothing good ever comes from the country and most especially the government and it's governance system is OPRESSIVE therefore an enemy to their freedom and democratic form of governance. China and CCP do not operate in a vacuum. They want investments and trade. Taking into account sensibilities of other people and culture is important unless you want us that perception is not important to CCP.

They (CPC/China) has been able to do "trade deals" as it was as a socialist country with Chinese characteristics. It managed to open and make the largest trade route BRI (One belt, One road) that engulfs over 130 countries as willing participants. China's claims and stances not to mention it's governing philosophy has never changed or waned throughout these ages and yes it's their way deal with it Westerners.

Even assuming that this will happen by 2030, GDP PPP matters little to countries that need to import most of their goods from home appliances to electronics and clothing.

That's right, I think when you count China's GDP, the PPP might be a whole lot of the way closer to an accurate number than nominal GDP compared to most other countries, definitely compared to India.

With India, nominal GDP is a whole lot closer to the accurate number, compared to most countries but especially compared to China.

So really, China's GDP may be closer to 9x the size of India if you believe the reported numbers for each country.

It's important for the Chinese government to have the trust of the Chinese people, but foreign opinions matter as well.

The US has sharpened its propaganda machine from decades of cold war with the Soviets and has the ability to topple governments they want with ease through channels like the CIA, "democracy activists" and propaganda news. Their tentacles are absolutely everywhere, from every issue imaginable like "3 gorges environmental activists" to youtube channels like RealLifeLore. It is extremely easy to fall for average westerners to fall for American propaganda.

All these have very real consequences. We've seen Europe starting to adopt a more hardline policy against China due to the "uighur genocide" fake news and the Hong Kong protests that were flamed by Mike Pompeo. We've seen racist attacks against asians all over the west.

All these will get worse if China's CCTV doesn't buck up and come up with proper counter-attacks.

India's GDP growth dropped to 6.1% in 2018 and a mind bogglingly low 4.2% in 2019, even before Covid hit.

Remember, when China was at India's current level (2006-2007), it was growing at over 12% a year.

First the shock from demonetisation and now from Covid. India may well never recover to their previous growth rate.

Even assuming that this will happen by 2030, GDP PPP matters little to countries that need to import most of their goods from home appliances to electronics and clothing.

Exactly. PPP is only an accurate measurement of quality of life for Chinese consumers because everything is made in China and purchased in RMB.

Indians will still have to buy imported goods traded in USD and that will not change by 2030. The manufacturing capability and capacity that China took decades to build up won’t be replicated by India in 9 years.

If you look carefully, it was a forecast done pre-Covid. We all know what happened since. So super power India will have to wait a little longer.

So the previous forecast was definately bullish.

Indian figures are always bullish because more often than not, it is a load of bull.
