Younger generation in China are fueling the double digit percentage annual growth in the Hanfu industry. It doesn't mean everyone will wear hanfu and it also doesn't mean this is the future of Chinese fashion but it is an indication of a trend where the younger generation as both producers and consumers are gravitating towards their own traditional cultural elements for inspiration. We see this carry over into contemporary Chinese fashion with unique cultural elements.

Global luxury producers are currently dominated by European producers. While their products have appeal in China, the aesthetic preferences are changing.

Here's a Taiwanese channel reporting on hanfu fashion in Mainland China.
@SilentObserver bro, who won't, as the Chinese become richer we had the time to explore and rediscover our culture, Bro when I'm growing up I was a fan of western pop music cause listening to Cantonese music sounds weird while Taiwanese music scene are more in tune with older folks (Teresa Teng), now I'm amuse and surprise, my children watch this SINGER show and I heard participant sings and it blows my mind especially with singers like Hua Chen Yu, Zhou Shen , Huang Xiaoyun and many others, I'm a fan and It makes me proud to be Chinese.

I think Vietnam can get there eventually if they are willing to integrate fully with the Chinese supply chain and endorse Belt and Road.

Yes they can, after all they have been part of the Chinese culture influence for a very long time. But what's holding them back is the fear and hatred of the Chinese. Sometimes the hatred is so irrational, it's on par with the Jai Hind crowd.

Least we forget what Ho chi Minh said.
"I rather smell French dung for five years than smell Chinese for a thousand".

Well I got news for them, unless you physically move Vietnam, you will be sniffing at Chinese shit for a thousand years.

BIG LOL
USA is past, China is future, China is in neigborhood, things are changing rapidly in China's favor... So all countries will turn to the most powerful country, and soon it gonna be China, then huge gap, then India, so USA must be happy with bronze medal for 3rd place...

@AF-1 bro within the region there is an acknowledgement of a geopolitical shift, only Australia, obviously Taiwan and the elites in the Philippine, Japan and Vietnam hold some reservation. What Beijing need to do is offer some concession to these elites give them an alternative, a lucrative business opportunity and see a mass defection within their ranks. A strategy straight from CIA playbook and its about time the US should taste its owned medicine.

Without going through the details again. This study has been discussed before and has many obvious flaws that render any interpretation useless.

Just saying we cannot draw any conclusion or trend from this flawed survey.

Do you have a link or do you remember at what page it was discussed?
I dont remember a discussion of this survey here.

The questions seem clear in the survey so it would be interesting to see what (or if) shenanigans they did on the survey
