"WE WILL NOT SWAY.

As expected, lately there has been increased presence of Australian interest in WP after the signing of the MOU for a Chinese led, Fisheries Park on Daru Island.

Last week a team of Australians came to Daru Isand to meet with the Provincial Government to discuss about the Fisheries Park on Daru Island. Initially when they asked to meet, I requested that they meet with us in Daru so that they can feel and appreciate the facts behind my governments reasons why we have been knocking hard on their doors for assistance and why we have been advocating for foreign direct investment into Western Province.

They did come to Daru for the planned meeting but as usual, they came with no alternative plans to counter and deter any foreign direct investment especially to alleviate poverty and improve social services. Which is actually good for me to advance my plans to explore opportunities that are available. Its regrettable that all they want is for us to be subsistence farmers and fishermen and maintain our current status quo.

Those who were with me in that meeting can confirm that they lost the plot and minced their words. Yet I am reliably informed that back in Cambera, it has been reported that we had fruitful meeting in Daru when it wasn't. When they know, it was all over me, I was not satisfied with their intentions for my people to remain the same when my people are demanding me for a change. They we never reached any common ground.

I am aware that Australians are working behind my back to have my people not to support any foreign direct investment. Recently they have funded an awareness team to promote Australian interest against any foreign investment along the coastline of South Fly including Daru Isand. I am also aware they also sent ABC team to Daru Island to get fedback on the awareness they did against foreign direct investment.
And yes, I can confirm that, yesterday, the ABC reporter was on the flight with me from Daru to POM. She tried to interview me when I got off the plane. When I refused to be interviewed, she said, your people do not support the Fisheries Park on the Island, theres some negative views. What would do you say?"

Well I have nothing to hide but I know what Australian media are up to and what they are capable of doing. But for a hint, they will use what I say to make my own people turn against me.

To give some comfort to my people, I know many of you will not trust me but when the details of the project is finally completed after all parties are being consulted, many of you will appreciate it. We will involve all interested parties especially the resource owners, the LLGs, DDAs FRPG etc for fair Benefit Sharing Arrangement, Environment Protection and Resource Sustainability in any Potential Foreign Direct Investment opportunities to Western Province for that matter the Chinese led Fisheries Park.

In saying so I will not let go off an opportunity to advance the aspirations of my people in my own land, in my own Province in a sovereign nation of my own to explore the opportunity at hand to advance my peoples interest to have an improved standard of living.

We have an opportunity to carve out our own future."

Apple logs record quarter as revenue in China jumps nearly 60%

Greater China saw the highest sales jump in the quarter. The region, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, reported a 57% year-over-year revenue increase to $21.3 billion in the quarter, up from the $13.6 billion last year.

Apple released four iPhone 12 models in October, about a month later than its usual timeline for launching new phones. The postponement of the launch of the 5G-capable iPhone led to a significant revenue drop in the Greater China region during the September quarter.

It's okay, it shows that Apple is not an innovative company and Huawei had a chance to overtake them. Marketing wise Huawei is known as an innovative company and had a loyal following (I'M one of them  ). If Huawei is able to find a chip solution within 2 years, you will see its sale bounce back with vengeance:cool: and will come out stronger with an OS to booth!!!

That gadget really need to think more. Instead of taken data as it is. He, of all the members here are more aware of how powerful the west 'soft power' is. God, he harp on about it long enough.

He also know that trump slapped all the chip ban on Huawei, any apps ban as well. And if he bothered to read my post a few days earlier, and the associated replies with regards to Huawei dropped in sales, he would've known that, basically Apple had a massive helping hand in this 'free competition' fight. Alas, No. He goes to sleep, and then post above as it was brand new news! Gee.

Oh I know they have had a helping hand. The question is, why is China allowing them to get away with it while moving production out of China?

Um, what is China suppose to do? China is trying to get more foreign firms to invest in China. Banning consumers from buying foreign brand seems like a dumb move that only a ??? would do.
