Fishing boats set sail on Wednesday from Zhapo port in Yangjiang, Guangdong province. A fleet of around 900 boats began the journey at noon as a three-and-a-half-month fishing moratorium in the South China Sea ended. Fishermen in other coastal cities, including those in Hainan province and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, also restarted fishing activities.
