More than 2,000 tourism exhibitors from home and abroad have gathered at the 2nd China (Wuhan) Culture and Tourism Expo, which opened Saturday in Wuhan, the capital of Central China's Hubei province. [All Photos/Xinhua]



Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony.



The three-day event aims to demonstrate new technologies and products in culture and tourism to boost tourism consumption and stimulate the recovery and development of China's culture and tourism industry.



It has attracted competent authorities from 15 foreign countries, including France, Germany, and Portugal, and international tourism organizations.



The expo, covering an exhibition area of approximately 80,000 square meters, has integrated various technological elements like VR, intelligent wearables, and robotic music performances into the overall showpiece, providing visitors with an immersive and interactive experience.

Students in Hainan province learn about China's space achievements and the development of Hainan's space industry on the eighth Space Day of China. [All Photos provided to chinadaily.com.cn]



A series of events including science lectures were held on Monday in Haikou, Sanya and Wenchang, Hainan province, to celebrate the eighth Space Day of China.



This year marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of China's National Space Administration.

The lectures, which were mainly given by experts from institutions such as the Hainan Research Institute of Aerospace Information Research Institute and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, were open to junior and senior high school students, Hainan University students majoring in related areas and the public.



To help more people learn about China's space achievements and the development of Hainan's space industry, Wenchang Aerospace Science Center, Wenchang Aerospace Science Museum and the Hainan Research Institute of Aerospace Information were all open to the public free of charge on Monday.



Meanwhile, space-themed display boards, posters and video clips could be seen in many venues across the province.

The 2023 Guizhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Season — themed "Sparkling Wujiang Village: Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival" — was launched on Monday at Wujiang Village Resort.

The event, which will last for five days, features a series of activities based on seminars, live experiences, innovations and food.

More than 100 inheritors of intangible cultural heritage will come together to showcase around 60 items, including handicrafts and performances, giving visitors an all-day, diverse and immersive experience.

Wujiang Village Resort, the host village of the event, has been transformed into a high quality scenic spot and a popular attraction.
