The third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo kicked off on Thursday in Changsha of Hunan province. The expo welcomes more "Made in Africa" products into China and aims to boost business links between the two sides.

Centered around the theme of "Common Development for a Shared Future," the four-day event will be attended by representatives from 53 African countries and multiple international organizations.

It will also include a shopping festival, sales via livestreaming and promotions of African products.

A large-scale intangible culture heritage dance performed by local Tibetans in Shigatse city of the Tibet autonomous region, has been recognized by the World Record Certification Agency as a new record for "the largest-scale performance of Shigatse intangible folk dance".

This is the first semi-submersible full-frame deep-sea fish farming platform in the country to be certified by the China Classification Society (CCS).



With a total length of 120 meters, a width of 56 meters and a height of 12.5 meters, it can accommodate 65,000 cubic meters of water. It boasts features such as adjustable depth, typhoon resistance, red tide avoidance and intelligent fish farming.

The platform will be used to farm large yellow croakers in the deep-sea and is expected to achieve an annual production value of over 100 million yuan ($13.76 million).
