The blue-and-white porcelain is a representative pattern of Chinese ceramics known to overseas art collectors.

Born into a family of blue-and-white porcelain makers, Cai Wenjuan, a Jingdezhen native chose to carry on the family craft of porcelain painting.

As a provincial inheritor of the blue-and-white porcelain making, Cai endeavors to pass on the craft by integrating the ancient charm of blue-and-white porcelain with modern aesthetics.

Cai launched her own brand to promote new painting designs. "Ceramics embrace change. I'm here to inherit the tradition in an innovative way, and then create my own works," she said.

Abdubek, 46, is the inheritor of the Kirgiz epic Manas. He has been devoted to the performance of the epic since childhood and now he provides guidance for apprentices for free.

Manas tells the story of the hero Manas and his descendants who fought against various evil forces. The epic covers all aspects of the historical life of the Kirgiz ethnic group and can be regarded as an encyclopedia for the study of Kirgiz. It is a valuable asset for the Kirgiz people and the Chinese culture.

A special job fair for migrant workers was held on a K210 train from Guangzhou to Ningbo on Monday.

The K210 train passes through Guangdong, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, which is one of the trains that has the most migrant workers from Jiangxi to Zhejiang after the Spring Festival holiday.



This is the third consecutive year to hold the job fair on the K210 train to help enterprises resume work and production. Ten enterprises from Hangzhou, Ningbo, Quzhou and Lishui of Zhejiang province provided nearly 5,000 positions at the job fair.[Photos/Xinhua]

Since December, the catering sector in China has witnessed a fast recovery for dine-in business and delivery services, as well as precooked products, after the authorities announced optimized COVID-19 control measures.

This year, the Spring Festival holiday and Lantern Festival witnessed this rebound, which has given those in the industry added confidence for their operations this year.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, during Spring Festival, sales at key national retail and catering enterprises nationwide rose by 6.8 percent year-on-year.
