Kang Rui, 22, is a poster designer of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Bookstore in Beijing.
Diagnosed with autism at five and a half years old, Kang Rui was sent to study in a special education center for autistic children, where he made great progress in learning skills and living abilities.
With the firm company of his family, Kang finished vocational high school and showed talents in drawing and playing instruments.
Fu Shuai, manager of FLTRP Bookstore, was deeply attracted by Kang's works and the story behind them during a national art competition for disabled children. Fu invited Kang Rui to be a poster designer of the bookstore.
"Hand-painted posters are great fit for offline promotion of our bookstore, and Kang Rui is gifted in poster design," Fu said. He believed that Kan Rui's works also offers people a way to better understand autism community.
