Plums in Wushan County of southwest China's Chongqing have entered harvest season. This year, a new mode using cargo drones and special airplanes of China Postal Airlines has been implemented in the transportation of local plums. Harvested plums can be transferred immediately from the garden to the local airport by cargo drones, and then be carried by special airplanes of China Postal Airlines to Nanjing in east China's Jiangsu Province, before being distributed to sellers all across the country in 24 hours. BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The Shenzhou-18 taikonauts on board China's orbiting space station completed their second spacewalk at 10:51 p.m. (Beijing Time) on Wednesday, according to the China Manned Space Agency.

Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu worked for about 6.5 hours to complete multiple tasks, with Li Guangsu remaining inside the space station.

With the assistance of the space station's robotic arm and researchers on Earth, they installed space debris protection devices for the pipelines, cables and key equipment outside the Tiangong space station, and conducted an extravehicular inspection.

Ye Guangfu and Li Cong, who were assigned the spacewalk duty, have since returned safely to the Wentian lab module.

The trio have completed one third of their space journey and are scheduled to carry out a large amount of in-orbit scientific experiments and technological tests, the agency said.

WUHAN, July 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. fast food chain McDonald's has teamed up with four bakeries and food suppliers, including Bimbo and Tyson Foods, to jointly launch a food supply base in central China's Hubei Province.

The smart industrial park in Hubei's Xiaogan City, put into operation on Wednesday, is expected to produce nearly 300 million loaves of bread, 30,000 tonnes of meat products, 30 million pastries and two billion packaging products annually.

Phyllis Cheung, CEO of McDonald's China, said that McDonald's has been in China for over 30 years, adding that the launch of the smart industrial park for food supply is an important step in deepening its engagement in the Chinese market.

Cheung noted that the industrial park will further improve the supply efficiency of McDonald's outlets and accelerate the company's localization in China's central and western regions.
