The dance, a national intangible cultural heritage in China, dates back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is considered a dance for heroic warriors due to its close association with the classic novel about Chinese heroism called Water Margin.

Local media reported that data from the tourism platform Ctrip shows that single-day tours booked for trips to Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, during the upcoming Labor Day holiday have increased fourfold compared to last year. Flight bookings have also increased by 18 percent.

The most popular tourist destinations for this holiday are Siberian Tiger Park, Harbin Polar Park, Poseidon Underwater World, and the Songhua River Sightseeing Cableway.

In addition to local tourists from Heilongjiang, visitors from Beijing, Shanghai, the provinces of Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region have chosen Harbin as their holiday destination.

Passengers are seen at Beijing Capital International Airport on Tuesday, one day ahead of the May Day holiday. All photos by LUO WANGSHU/CHINA DAILY



As the May Day holiday is approaching, more international trips are expected at the Beijing Capital International Airport, showcasing the continuous recovery of China's international civil aviation market.



According to the airport, Beijing Capital International Airport is expected to see 918,300 passenger trips from Wednesday to Sunday, an average of 183,700 trips per day. The total number has increased by 21 percent compared with the same period of last year.



A total of 5,837 flights will be scheduled to depart and arrive at the airport during the period, up 10 percent from last year's May Day holiday.

Found photos of the three astronauts out of the capsule!

Gents I'm so sorry I did not post in this thread today. A man is in my home repairing the AC before we really need it. He still has a ways to go. I'll be posting tomorrow for sure.

Remember this..The posted links in my post frequently have more photos and much more information. Just give them a click and see what you can find. I'd like to post more photos but this fine forum limits photos per post to five. If that was eight that would be perfect for me. Oh well. I'll be back tomorrow.
