Fans of Guangzhou Evergrande cheer during the AFC Champions League match between Gamba Osaka and Guangzhou Evergrande in Osaka, Japan, Oct. 21, 2015.

Allow me to give a little insight into the world of association football.
The above mentioned "0-0" match, played at the home stadium of Gamba Osaka is in fact the Second Leg, out of a "2-leg" tie, and which might not be as boring as the scoreline suggests, since a total of 23 shots on goal were produced throughout the match, which wasn't terribly bad for a football match.
The First Leg, played at the home stadium of Guangzhou Evergrande, was won by Guangzhou with a scoreline of 2-1. Therefore, the combined score of both legs is 2-1, giving victory to Guangzhou.
* However, if Gamba Osaka were to win the Second Leg 1-0, thus resulting in a combined score of 2-2, the victors would be Osaka, and not a draw. This is because of the "Away Goals" Rule. Which is, when a combined score is a draw, the victors shall be the team that scores the most goals at an opponent's home stadium. In this hypothetical example, Osaka scoring 1 goal at Guangzhou's home, and Guangzhou failing to score at Osaka's.
