A karst formation that looks like a Chinese dragon inside a cave in Linwu county, Hunan Province, The natural landform, which measures 13 meters long is between 0.6 and 0.8 meters thick, is surrounded by water in a pool covering an area of 100 square meters. Geologists say it may have formed 100 million years ago. Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore.

19-July-2015. Dongzhai village, Gongcheng Yao autonomous county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
This village with a population of approximately 1,600 people, is known for the revolutionary slogans that date back to the 1950s which adorn most old houses. This village is nicknamed China’s “No.1 Slogans Village”.

The Gurbantunggut Desert Highway in Xinjiang, China.
The desert highway starts at the southern margin of the Junggar Basin. Located in Manas County in Xinjiang, this highway is used for oil exploration and transportation.

The 2nd Silk Road International Food Exhibition Fair was held at the International Conference and Exhibition Center in Urumqi, Xinjiang on July 23, 2015. Enterprises from 40 countries and regions displayed a great variety of food at the fair, which also includes a barbecuing contest and demonstration cooking by chefs.

22-July-2015. Craftsman and inheritor Zheng Yinghai, 89, makes oil-paper umbrellas in Yunyang village, Tengchong, Yunnan Province. Made of oiled paper and bamboo frame, oil-paper umbrella is a traditional Chinese handicraft. Making oil-paper umbrella is an over 100-year-old tradition in Yunyang and is revived in recent years under the support of local government.
