Henan countryside substitute teachers hold students to nap five hundred yuan monthly salary (Photos)

500 RMB is just around US$80. Her monthly income is much lower than minimum wage of a Cambodian factory worker. A Cambodian worker now have minimum wage of $100 add many other benefits like attendance bonus, seniority bonus, transportation fee, health-care fee, and so on. Now they are demanding minimum wage of $177 as Popeye has posted above. What's interesting is that after the deadly clash with police at the end of last year, they turn to cooperate with labor unions in buyers' countries to pressure buyers for higher minimum wages.

I remember that flood, it cause a sharp increase in HDD price because most HDD factories are located in Thailand. However, I do not know about companies that relocated in Cambodia due to the flood. Up to now, Cambodia has very few high tech factories, most of them are clothes and shoes makers which require intensive labor.

When there is no bridge, this is how we cross the Mekong river. I remember on that day in this photo, we arrive at the ferry about 12:00 pm but we could only cross the river at about 7:00 pm.
