And really, freedom?

Freedom in high school, certainly. Chinese high school students spend 16 hours a day studying for their university entrance exams. No joke.

Once they *do* get into university, however, it's party central. Imagine a bunch of 19-22-year-olds who, for the first time in their lives, are living without parental supervision. That's basically what goes on in Chinese universities, lol.

It's what goes on in US universities too.

I don't know about US universities, but in Canadian universities, students are a lot more mature and self-motivated compared to high-school students.

Well, my experience is more discipline in non-inner city US High Schools and less in college. Case in point, while in college, I joined the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity to... PARTY!!!
