When untrained civilians get a whole of a gun the very first thing they do is to put their tiny Lil fingers on the trigger..
It never fails.
This is why when you have a demo you quadruple check to make sure the chamber is empty... And then check again before handing it to the excited teen.
Right you R Kwai, a buddy had an AD with an S&W 9MM M&P, cleaning it, to release the slide, and allow it to slide forward off the frame, you pull the trigger. Cleaned the gun, loaded it as it is his CCW, dropped the slide and pulled the trigger, bullet entered the leg of an antique table, small hole in front, big hole in back for exit wound, shot the poor old grandfather clock, bullet lodged in outer wooden case, he ended up filling the hole, bullet and all, so his wifey didn't kill him, he was home alone with just his animals, was just sick, I told him to keep his finger OUT of the trigger guard, he would???? OK Went to the range, handed him my 3913 LS 9 MM, loaded the magazine, dropped the slide with release and lllloooooonnnnnngggggg double action pull on the first round, finger still in trigger guard, held weapon sideways in front as he looked it over and I'm thinking, here comes AD part deuce, shure nuff, very light single action trigger pull, KKKKAAAAAABBBBLLLLLAAAAAMMMMMOOOOO. He is older than I am, but really has obviously never been taught proper weapon management.....good lesson for him, I DRILLED him the rest of the day, but surprisingly he is a very experienced shooter, but not with lots of different weapons,,, KEEP The finger out of the trigger guard, UNTIL you are ready to discharge the weapon....
