Since he pleaded guilty in China he may receive a delayed death penalty. That means he will be executed in about two years.

That is unlikely since he killed multiple people. Death sentence with probation is usually for those who killed a single person, turned themselves in, and with slightly more "understandable" motives (e.g. if the wife is cheating). Also, a death sentence with probation usually means the person never get executed, they just stay 25-30 years in jail and then get released, unless they don't bother to (pretend to) repent, or if they committed other crimes during the probation period. Therefore death sentence with probation in China is actually a lesser punishment than "life sentence without parole" in western systems.

Thanks for that correction superdog!
You're welcome. Jail sentences in China often confuse even the Chinese people because the name doesn't always imply what's actually happening due to frequent applications of abatement. There's criticism that China lacked a level of punishment between death penalty and around 20 years in jail, as they don't have a true life imprisonment sentence. Anyone who escapes the immediate death penalty may get out of jail in as short as 20 years, and that's after a recent law change, before that they could legally get out in as little as 14-16 years, creating a huge gap in levels of punishment. However this has helped them keep the prison population and expenditure small.
