A villager makes satchel using hairs of yak in Dejiu village in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, Nov. 12, 2013. Located more than 600 kilometers away from Lhasa, capital of Tibet, Dejiu Village faces the Mount Qomolangma in its southeast. With an altitude of 4,972 meters, the village seldom see green trees around the year. There are now 20 families and 118 villagers living in the village, where agriculture can hardly develop and people live on livestock (namely yak and sheep) raising for many generations. With the help of the government, the village has taken on a new look in recent years, with the living standards of the villagers rising obviously. Rescuers work at the site after a gasoline pipe was broken in Pingba County of Anshun City, southwest China's Guizhou Province, Nov. 27, 2013. The gasoline pipe was broken after a construction tower collapsed late on Tuesday night at a high-speed railway construction site. About 2,000 tonnes of gasoline leaked from the broken pipe on Wednesday. Emergency measures have been taken to stop the leak and evacuate residents from within a two-kilometer radius.
