What? when was this? I lived in Huntsville for over 4 years in the mid 90's and never had any electrical flickering...

I think it was before they do away with the electric chair completely and started using lethal injections instead. 1964 was the last time Texas uses that method.

LOL.. is it just me or is that awesome??? Probably not practical in the city since it probably 'sweeps' all the dirt to the side however you gotta give credit to the ingenuity of the person who came up with that!
I can see something like that adapted nd mounted on the front of the vehicle to clear snow on wide open highways!

There are zero photos of the accident/incident in Tiananmen Square on English language Chinese news sites today. I guess what we saw yesterday was a figment of our imaginations..

Combined photo taken by mobile phone on Oct. 13, 2013 shows 13-year-old Doje Cering holding a camera (L) and the photo taken by him with the camera, in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The Tibetan Children's Braille School sits in a traditional Tibetan yard on Jiangsu Road in Lhasa. The school was founded by a blind German woman Sabriye Tenberken and her Dutch husband Paul Kronenberg in 1998. It developed from a rehabilitation and training center into a preparatory school for blind children. Blind children in the Tibet did not have much access to education years ago. Most of them led a life on the margin of the society with few chances of integration. That's why Sabriye and Paul decided to stay in Lhasa to help those children. Their value lies not only in teaching blind children cultural knowledge and manual skills, but also in providing them with the belief that they can live a happy life, having their own ideal and fulfilling their dream through efforts. There are six teachers and over 40 children in the school. (Xinhua/Zhang Cheng)

Police investigating the apparent car attack at Beijing's Forbidden City searched Tuesday for information on two ethnic Uighur minority suspects, a hotel employee said, a day after the vehicle plowed through a crowd and crashed, killing five people and injuring 38.

Police released no public information about a possible motive for the incident at one of China's most politically sensitive and heavily guarded public spaces, and it was not immediately clear if the two suspects were among the three people killed inside the vehicle. (AP)

Chinese woman arranges sex romp with mysterious online lover ... her father-in-law

Lili, 28, and Wang Pai, 57, were both using fake profiles when they started trolling the Internet for a good time. So when they finally met up, they were stunned to discover one another’s true identity. But their husband-and-son, Wang Jai, was even more shocked when he busted them.

Police investigate after a woman accidentally met up with her father-in-law for a sexy liaison — and got busted by her husband at a hotel in northeast China.
Police investigate after a woman accidentally met up with her father-in-law for a sexy liaison — and got busted by her husband at a hotel in northeast China.

A Chinese woman arranged a hot sex blind date with a mysterious online lover — only to find out it was her own father-in-law.

Lili, 28, and Wang Pai, 57, were both using fake profiles when they started talking in an Internet chat room.

After hitting it off, and unaware of each other's true identity, they agreed to meet in person — at a hotel in Heilongjiang province, northeast China — for some raw, passionate loving.

But when a scantily clad Lili opened the door to her room, she was stunned to find her in-law waiting at the door.

Then — to make matters even worse — her husband, Wang Jai, turned up after reading her emails, punched her in the face and attacked his pop.

"When I opened the door, I don't know if she was more surprised or me," said Pai, according to the Daily Star.

"She turned and ran off down the hallway into her husband, my son, who had been following her. He started shouting and then he attacked her, and then he attacked me," he said.

Jai — who allegedly knocked out two of his wife's teeth and gave his father a head injury that required hospital treatment — was arrested and held for five days.
