This tragic event will definitely effect the survivors mentality for the rest of their lives. I just hope they grow stronger out of this as they are going through their process of healing.

Kids are so nimble. I remember when I was a kid I rested on rocks and tree limbs that could barely hold an adult without a thought. Today...not so much with my body weight and gravity will spell aches and pain the next morning.

I'd like to give yahoo news a pleasant kick in the teeth for the way they now display photos. At one time you could type in yahoo search a Chinese city or some news event in China and get the latest photos. No longer and if you do find photos they do not post the full captions and in some cases you cannot copy the caption..

To me there search engine is going backwards. They still have hi quality photos but make them hard to use. Getty Images on yahoo require to be downloaded as a screenshot..

Google has lots of photos but not recent news photos from China. Oh well

Most of the photos now will come from English language Chinese sites.

I see lot of love here. Far in my father's home town, Snoul county, Kratie province, 300km north of Phnom Penh, where there is a small Chinese school which flooded with students from poor peasant families. There are two volunteer teachers from China who only get $100 a month from the school for their salaries (of course, they get other subsidies from Chinese government who sends them to Cambodia). That's a far remote area and lives there are just boring. I praise them for they can live and teach there for a year until their terms finish. My father doesn't hold any position in the school or association; however, he is the main sponsor seeker for the school and association to survive. In remote area, school fees are 10,000 riels (about US$2.5) a term which is almost considered free of charge. The school can't survive a single day without sponsor. People call my father "beggar" for he asking money from the donors for the school.

maybe, however those copyrights protect them ,Getty, Reuters, AP etc from persons using those images for commercial use. Which is something I do not do.

I did get these first three photos from yahoo. They are more than likely AP photos.. I had to type my own captions..
