Re: Chinese Daily Photos, Videos & News of 2013!!!

I don't like those ski mask, it makes them look more like bank robbers. I prefer the Ninja like face cover for the PAP.

Agreed, they are white guys, the only two white guys I know who could wear a mask were the Lone Ranger and Batman, and they are European because their are carring those UGLY bull-pups style rifles, I don't even like to wear my helmet on the gixxer? Although I will say my helmet prolly saved me from getting a big ticket when I had been flying around cars on a two lane, I had been to the car wash, and wanted to dry it off on the way home, I was down to 85-90 and slowing for some big curves when I saw him, right up behind a semi in a white unmarked car, I didn't hit the brakes and made him catch me, which he did, I think when I took me helmet off and he saw all that gray hair, he was kinda shocked, so I only got 75 in 55.

Lots of folks criticise the AR platform, but a nicely set up AR with a red dot or tactical scope and a short magazine points like a fine English double. I despise seeing soldiers in masks, you are exactly right, it gives them a thug look, I am no big fan of special operators, I think it leads to a kind of paranoia. I am much more paranoid when I am armed, even legally, you have to make sure and secure your weapon, if you live that lifestyle long enough it will "wack-out" a certain percentage of guys.. so no I think soldiers and sailors need to hold their heads high, and stand up straight and tall and go about their business with a sense of purpose,,-sneaking around is for thugs----actually reminds me of Nazi's, I think the president of the NRA called them jack-booted thugs. Rant off- Brat

Not sure if anyone has heard but the 3rd victim of the Boston Marathon bombing is a Chinese citizen.

The third victim killed at the Boston Marathon has been identified as Chinese national who was studying at Boston University.

The Chinese consulate in New York confirmed tonight that a Chinese citizen had died in the bomb attacks.

The family has asked that the graduate student not be named publicly.

The victim was one of three Chinese nationals watching near the finish line of the marathon on Monday.

One student was injured and is listed in stable condition at Boston Medical Center.

The injured student has been identified as Zhou Danling by China’s official Xinhua News Agency, which quoted an unnamed official from the Chinese consulate in New York.

The report said Zhou is in coma and her mother has asked for help in getting to the United States to visit her wounded daughter.

The third student in the group was miraculously unharmed.

Boston University has confirmed one of its student has been hospitalized in stable condition.

Robert Hill, dean of Marsh Chapel, visited the injured student twice and said she underwent surgery on Monday and on Tuesday, according to Boston University Today.

'She is doing well,' says Hill. 'She has her friends around her, and she will soon have family around her.'

Zhou is reportedly a graduate of Wuhan University in central China, and currently a student at Boston University in actuarial science, according to a Xinhua report.

'She cannot talk now but can communicate with pen and paper,' the consulate said.

Boston is filled with colleges and there a handful of students among the 183 injured.

Three Tufts University students, seven Emerson College students, three Northeastern University students, two Boston College students, and one Berklee College of Music student, according to the schools.

Boston College identified its two injured students as M.B.A. candidate Liza Cherney and law student Brittany Loring, according to Boston.com.

'The two spectators were hospitalized with injuries resulting from the explosions near the Marathon finish line,' the school said.
