True love was the desired destination for nearly 300 singles as they departed Chengdu West Station and headed for Ya'an Station on Oct 19 on a two-day journey by C9999 high-speed train, the first "Love Train" in Southwest China's Sichuan province.
"This is my first time to take part in a blind date on high-speed train, it's so creative," said participant Hao Jinyu. "I only knew high-speed train as a kind of transportation, but it can be a platform for young people to pursue love. If I can find the right one this time, I will take her on a romantic train trip."
"So far, more than 30 pairs have met thanks to the train. We hope young people who can't spare time for finding the right person can reap happiness on high-speed railway trips," said a representative of China Railway Chengdu Group Co Ltd, one of the participating units.
